Overview & Responsibilities

Analyze and design solutions and tools to solve business problems or improve efficiency using information technology related to Compensation, Benefits and Absence.


50% Audit, Research, Configure, Test and Implement C&B Systems

  • Serves as subject matter expert for configuration, maintenance and reporting from the various systems utilized in the compensation processes
  • Performs application audits to ensure intended functionality, operation, and performance requirements are achieved
  • Diagnoses major operational problems and recommend changes to meet availability, reliability, or performance objectives
  • Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions
  • Coordinates and tests system enhancements and changes
  • Implements system solutions


35% System Analysis and Presentation

  • Develops business insights based on analysis of results; communicates key findings to various members of management to facilitate data-driven decision-making
  • Analyzes application design and efficiency by conferring with clients; understanding system enhancement opportunities; preparing and presenting internal roadmap recommendations
  • Define and document business and systems requirements including resulting technology needs


15% Project Management

  • Develops timelines for key projects, developing and implementing processes
  • Participates in the planning and management of key meetings related to projects owned
  • Reports project status according to prescribed timelines for a given project

Requirements & Qualifications


  • Bachelor degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems) or a combination of education and equivalent experience in a technical capacity.


  • Workday Certifications in HCM, Absence, Compensation, or Benefits is a plus
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is a plus



  • 3+ years working in the following fields in a technical environment: Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, or Finance
  • Experience working on front and backend business processes
  • Experience working with HR business systems (previous experience with an HCM platform a plus)
  • Experience with HRIS/Compensation/Benefits/Total Absence system configuration and maintenance desirable
  • Experience with Workday highly desirable


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Software Documentation/Testing/Maintenance/Development Process/Requirements, Business Process Flows, Teamwork, and General Consulting Skills
  • Strong MS Office Skills and proficiency or the ability to learn quickly with little assistance other software packages
  • Demonstrated organization, time management, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional professionalism, confidentiality and service to our associates
  • Work collaboratively to build positive/effective business partnerships
  • Successfully manage change and deal with ambiguous situations
  • Capacity to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, changes in direction and alternating priorities
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, influencing, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Excellent customer service and positive interpersonal skills, including ability to facilitate and mediate sensitive and/or confrontational situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing abilities and outstanding presentation skills, including ability to speak in front of groups.
  • Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated commitment to completing assigned responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and timeliness
