We are currently seeking a qualified individual to train our Sales Professionals within the Las Vegas, NV Market. The Sales Trainer will be responsible for delivering compelling sales/product presentations and programs to enhance the skills of newly hired and current sales staff and/or sales management in our North American Sales Division. The ability to mentor and coach, with an aptitude to impart current Sales Standards in a classroom environment is imperative.

  • Effectively facilitate multiple training sessions, outline training objectives, goals, and desired outcomes, delivering content in a clear, concise and engaging manner. Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Train associates (Location Managers, Sales Associates, and others as necessary), on presentation products, materials and scripts.
  • Initiate and participate in role plays with associates and conduct follow-up feedback to ensure the concepts and body of knowledge is retained and demonstrated.
  • Utilize behavioral based adult learning techniques; with the ability to teach ‘one on one’, class room or web-based training.
  • Support some facets of recruiting including sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, and assisting with reference checks for Sales Associates including backgrounds and drug tests.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Sales experience is helpful but not mandatory
  • High level of comfort using computer systems within a sales environment
  • Previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus
  • High level of integrity, dedication, and desire to succeed
  • Desire to help others and earn a competitive income
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Creative, outgoing, and energetic
  • Comfortable with in-home sales and conducting group presentations
  • A good driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Solid work history
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred

This position may require the associate to obtain and maintain an insurance license in any state in which he/she conducts sales. To obtain the insurance license, the candidate must meet the requirements of Assurant’s background check process which includes, but is not limited to, a criminal history and credit check.
