Overview & Responsibilities

The Catering Project Coordinator supports and assists with the planning, management and administration of the Catered Reception Program. Manages vendor relations with catering vendors to include contract review, menu development, and vendor evaluation. Handles project administrative functions and responds to field inquiries and issue resolution. Recommends changes and updates to catering program materials as needed. This position will have frequent contact with Field associates and other departments in the Company such as Pricing, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Legal, Risk Management, and Information Technology.  



45% Vendor Management

  • Maintains catering database and vendor agreements to ensure all information is accurate.
  • Manages new and expired document processes.
  • Assists locations in preparation of contracts with food and beverage service providers and suppliers.
  • Evaluates vendor performance in consideration of contract renewals.

45% Program Administration

  • Assists in driving participation and overcoming objections.
  • Manages relationships with market Catering Champions.
  • Updates any revisions to catering documentation to SharePoint.
  • Manages the email support inbox to respond to field inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assists with the development and distribution of program materials to enhance program performance.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with partners and stakeholders to facilitate execution of assigned deliverables.

10% Data Analysis

  • Queries, monitors and reports participation and vendor agreement status.

Requirements & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business, Marketing or a related discipline


  • Two (2) years of experience in project management or customer service
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within US and possibly Canada

  • Ability to use Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Excel and Access a plus
