  • Overview & Responsibilities

    The Captain will report directly to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for the safety of the passengers, crew and Aircraft.

     

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

     80% Flight Operations

    • As PIC directly and totally responsible for the safe operation of the Aircraft
    • Compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Company Policies, ICAO Rules of Flight
    • Compliance with Aircraft Flight Manual operating procedures and limitations
    • Ensures security of aircraft and passengers while under his/her command
    • Keeps accurate maintenance of all required flight records
    • Decides when to start delay, resume, divert cancel or abort a flight as operating conditions dictate
    • Engender crew cooperation through leadership to ensure mission accomplishment in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Maintains relationships with the maintenance department, appropriate vendors, business group and regulatory agencies to enhance aircraft utilization.

    20% Supervision and Training

    • Assist Chief Pilot as required

    Requirements & Qualifications

    Education:

    • High school degree or GED equivalent

    Certification:

    • Valid FAA Airline Transport Certificate
    • Valid FAA Fist Class Medical Certificate
    • Current FAA Pilot-In-Command Proficiency Check in aircraft type assigned

    Experience:

    • Three thousand (3000) hours total flight time, including at least 100 hours as Pilot-In-Command
    • One thousand (1000) hours multiengine turbojet experience

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Operations knowledge of the Operations Manual, Aircraft Flight Manual, Aeronautical Information Manual and all applicable charts, FARs, and ICAO regulations
    • Remaining informed of the latest developments within the business aviation community, including FARs, and other Federal, state, local and foreign regulations affecting operations
