    General Accountabilities and Responsibilities:


    The successful candidate is the primary contact with our families and interacts with them to fulfill their death care needs. Funeral Directors are responsible to ensure customers’ full range of needs is addressed. He /She will provide customer service in all the areas of helping families and establishes strong personal and business relationships with customers.


    • Meet with families.
    • Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized and caring manner.
    • Retain heritage and grow market share through active involvement with community.
    • Coordinating and assisting with funeral service, and visitation.
    • Ensure adherence to all professional, municipal, provincial/state and federal licensing authority, regulations and rules applicable to the provision of funeral services.
    • Aftercare includes delivery of documents, stationery, documentation, information on insurance, health benefits and pension, pre-arrangements for next of kin.
    • Office duties such as operating fax machine, computer, multiline phone system, debit card machine, typewriter, postage meter and scale and stereo/video system may be required to be operated from time to time.
    • Answering phones, preparing reports as necessary and participating in staff meetings.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Requirements & Qualifications


    • Graduation from accredited mortuary college required
    • State Funeral Director license highly required (must for some states)
    • Two years Associate’s degree preferred


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Good driving record and must provide a current, valid driver’s license
    • High level of compassion and integrity
    • Good communication skills
    • Problem solving skills
    • Professional and team player
    • Limited amount of local and/or multiple location traveling required
