    The VISIONARY Market Sales Manager will inspire, mentor, coach, and develop a team to embrace and prepare for the ever changing market, build and foster an environment of enthusiasm and motivation, and leverage the strengths of the Sales Manager and Sales associates collective and individually, while growing the business.


    Our Market Sales Managers motivate our associates with excellent communication skills, incredible relationship-building abilities, and a natural talent to lead a sales team.

    • Managing Sales processes, leading sales professionals including motivating Sales Teams to become highly productive in a professional environment
    • Help prepare yearly sales quotas and ensure that quotas are achieved.
    • Recruit, hire and train sales managers and counselors
    • Review and evaluate the Sales Team’s performance
    • Assist in the Sales Meetings
    • Work in the Field with the Sales Team
    • Traveling locally within AOR required
    • Promote sales and generate lead opportunities for your team through company-approved programs
    • Ensure that sales quotas are achieved, both PAF & CEM
    • Review and evaluate sales staff performance
    • Handle personnel issues and problems concerning sales staff
    • Be active in recruiting and training of Family Service Counselors to maintain adequate staffing
    • Be proficient in SalesForce, Beacon and HMIS
    • Ensure and aid Sales Managers in ensuring 70% of all sales staff are at 100% pacesetter
    • Work in Partnership with our market leadership team

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • High level of comfort using computer systems within a sales environment
    • High level of integrity, dedication, and desire to succeed
    • Desire to help others and earn a competitive income
    • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
    • Creative, outgoing, and energetic
    • Comfortable with in-home sales and conducting group presentations
    • Proven success leading sales teams in the Funeral and cemetery industry


    This position may require the associate to obtain and maintain an insurance license in any state in which he/she conducts sales. To obtain the insurance license, the candidate must meet the requirements of Assurant’s background check process which includes, but is not limited to, a criminal history and credit check.
